The SPR10 numerical relay is a cutting-edge protection device powered directly by current transformers (CTs), eliminating the need for an external auxiliary power supply. This makes it the perfect solution for remote installations where auxiliary sources are unavailable. The relay operates using energy derived from standard 1 A or 5 A CTs.

In solidly grounded systems, protection applies to feeders of any length.
In ungrounded or Petersen coil/resistance grounded systems, protection is limited to short feeders to prevent unwanted trips caused by capacitive current contributions during external ground faults.
