The NM10 protection relay is ideal for protecting small and medium-sized motors on radial MT and BT networks. It can be used on lines of varying length in systems with solidly grounded or low-resistance grounded neutrals, as well as on shorter lines in systems with isolated neutrals, Petersen coils, or high-resistance grounding.
Features of the NM10 Motor Protection Relay
The Thytronic NM10 protection relay offers a comprehensive set of features to ensure the safety and reliability of motors and generators. Its standard protection and control characteristics include monitoring of under current, maximum reverse sequence current, as well as a specific thermal image function for motors and generators.
Additionally, it includes monitoring of maximum phase and residual overcurrent, the ability to lock the rotor, and management of the maximum number of starting with the possibility of inhibiting restart. The device includes functions such as management of circuit breaker failure, CT supervision, and supervision of the trip circuit. Hardware and software configuration options also offer the possibility of integrating the thermal protection function for measuring machine temperature via Pt100 thermometric probes.
