The XMR-C relay is an advanced device dedicated to the protection, measurement, and supervision of capacitor banks and harmonic filters. With its numerous protection functions, the XMR-C relay is truly a multifunction relay.
Protection and Measurement Functions
Protections 37, 49, 59H, and 50(rms)/51(rms) are based on the RMS measurement of the three-phase currents, covering from the fundamental to the 50th harmonic. The measurement circuits include:
- Three phase currents and one neutral current imbalance input, with selectable nominal current of 1A or 5A via software programming.
- Three phase voltages, with programmable nominal voltage in the range of 50...130V (UR=100V) and one residual voltage input with programmable nominal voltage in the range of 50...130V (UER=100V).
Additional Functions
In addition to protection functions, the XMR-C relay offers:
- BF function (breaker failure).
- CT monitoring (74CT).
- VT monitoring (74VT).
- Trip circuit supervision (74TCS).
- Programmable logic (PLC).
Programming and Interface
The calibration, programming, and reading of measurements and recordings can be managed via Personal Computer with the ThyVisor software, using the front or rear Ethernet communication bus. All these operations are also possible through the front panel keyboard (MMI).
