Thytronic at ENLIT Europe 2024: Innovation and Success

From 22 to 24 October, Thytronic participated with enthusiasm in ENLIT Europe 2024, held at Fieramilano. The event provided a significant opportunity to share our solutions with experts and professionals in the energy sector.

During the exhibition, we observed substantial interest in our electrical protection technologies and a growing trend in automation and control solutions for high- and medium-voltage grid connections.

Thytronic's product portfolio, which includes all Terna-approved devices—such as BCU, BMU, RTU, UPDM, and SCADA—along with the Central Plant Controller (CCI) compliant with Attachments O and T of CEI 0-16, and the Power Plant Controller (PPC), offers a significant competitive advantage by enabling comprehensive, turnkey solutions.

Market Trends and New Requirements
The event highlighted increasing interest in integrating prosumers and distributed energy resources, with a focus on solutions that facilitate participation in the Dispatching Services Market (MSD). This mechanism ensures real-time energy balance between supply and demand, rewarding grid stability.

Thytronic’s iCCI complies with CEI 0-16 and the 540/2021/R/eel resolution, essential for medium-voltage installations. Our integrated kit includes the XMR-P relay with class 0.2 precision network analyser, a toroid, and THYSENSOR class 0.5 sensors, providing centralised control and reliable protection.

The SPCC system guarantees high-voltage grid connections to Terna’s network, adhering to the Grid Code. Its components include:

• SCADA iControl: Real-time monitoring and control.
• IBCU (Bay Control Unit): Station bay control with a colour display.
• IBMU (Bay Monitoring Unit): Recording of electrical values under disturbance conditions.
• XMR Protections: Modular solutions for substations.
• IRTU (Remote Terminal Unit): Remote control and monitoring.
• IUPDM/IUPDC: Rapid corrective actions certified for Class A+.

Additionally, the XV10P relay, compliant with CEI 0-16, protects grids and electrical machines, ensuring separation and safety with:

• Measurement inputs for inductive transformers and V-Sensors.
• Programmable output relays.
• Expandable modularity with external modules.
• Advanced security and authentication features.
