POSITION PURPOSE
The candidate will be based at Thytronic’s Milan office within the Technical Department. They have technical experience in the context of IoT platforms on AWS, supporting operational and management activities of a monitoring platform.
The platform is integrated with field devices connected via mobile network on a private APN, communicating through Modbus TCP, MQTT, and HTTPS/JSON protocols.
The resource will play a key role in ensuring the correct functioning of the platform, supporting the creation, configuration, and activation of objects, monitoring connectivity, and setting up data export. They will act as a support interface (regarding services implemented by the platform) for partners.
They will also be involved in documentation and testing activities related to security certifications (ISO 27001, IEC 62443).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and ensure the required services within the scope of their competencies
- Support the creation, configuration, and activation of objects and devices within the platform
- Verify correct connection of devices and clients to the platform
- Define, apply, and update configuration and monitoring templates
- Manage platform users, including creation and privilege assignment
- Perform minor dashboard development and configure data export via JSON API over HTTPS to third-party systems
- Activate and monitor SIM cards for field devices
- Produce operational reports on activations, commissioning, and related activities
- Perform periodic database cleanup and platform status checks
- Collaborate with the R&D team on development, documentation, and testing activities related to ISO 27001 and IEC 62443
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), VPNs, and certificate management (PKI)
- Experience with Modbus TCP, MQTT, HTTPS/JSON protocols
- Scripting experience (preferably Python, LUA)
- Familiarity with data export via REST/JSON APIs
- Understanding of SIM lifecycle management on private mobile networks (private APN)
- Basic knowledge of industrial cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443) and information security (ISO 27001)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in IoT/Industry 4.0 environments
- Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., EasyRedmine)
Education:
- Technical diploma (e.g., Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications) or
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electronic Engineering or related fields
