Purpose of the Position

The resource will take on an operational and managerial role within the procurement function, following a structured path toward the future position of Purchasing Manager. Reports to the Plant Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

Manages the purchasing of electrical materials, electronic components, wiring, semi-finished products, and external services.
Issues, monitors, and updates purchase orders related to production jobs.
Plans material requirements in coordination with Production, Project Managers, and the Technical Office.
Manages suppliers both operationally and strategically, including electronic board manufacturers (EMS/PCBA).
Conducts economic and contractual negotiations, ensuring competitive conditions and continuity of supply.
Monitors compliance with delivery schedules and manages any delays or critical issues.
Supports the management of supplier non-conformities, returns, and supplier qualification/evaluation activities.
Progressively supports the current Purchasing Manager until taking over coordination activities of the department.

Requirements and Skills

Technical diploma or Engineering degree (Electrical, Electronic, Industrial Management, or equivalent).
Minimum 5–7 years of experience as Buyer/Senior Buyer in companies operating in the electrical, electronic, or industrial automation sectors.
Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic components and PCB assembly procurement processes.
Ability to read Bills of Materials, electrical diagrams, and technical specifications.
Good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for purchase process management.
Strong negotiation skills, problem‑solving attitude, and ability to manage priorities in project‑based environments.
Good interpersonal skills and aptitude for cross-functional collaboration.
